You're Amazing Birthday Card

I think I'm really enjoying creative challenges. This week I'm playing along with the Stampin' Royalty challenge again. This week is a picture inspiration challenge. The You're Amazing stamp set is now my "to go" stamp set for creating birthday cards.

I also used the coordinating designer series paper, World Spectacular with this stamp set. Trimmed the paper to a fun banner shape and then sewed the banners side by side together.

And of course, I added embossing using the now super trendy Chevron Textured Impression Folder.

I then finished off the card with the color spritzer using the 2012-2013 in-colors and gave the card some bling with rhinestones. A very quick and simple card using minimal tools, stamps and accessories.

Postage Due and Color Combo

I was blog surfing late last night to realize that I haven't done a challenge this month. So I hopped over to Stampin' Royalty and immediately fell in love with the color combo for this week's challenge.
The colors are Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Pool Party. Who would've known that Pool Party works so  amazing with neutral colors.

I have wanted to use the Postage Due stamp set for a long time and I wanted to put it into good use for this week's challenge. Hope it's a good stamp selection for this color combo.

Keep Calm and Carry Rum

There is one particular stamp set that I have been itching to use for a long time. The Happy Hour stamp set. It is an all occasion stamp set, one you can even use for Christmas. I wanted to make a fun and humorous card by mixing things up with the hostess stamp set, Carry On.

And coincidentally the colors I used for this card (2012-2014 in-colors) are the same as the ones for this week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge. So I am entering this card for this week. I haven't entered any challenges for almost two years. This would be a fun start to pick it up again.

PPA60 - Halloween Challenge

I've been meaning to join a card challenge, but always thought that I'm for sure not comparable to the other submissions. But oh well, I don't think that matters anymore. Craft isn't about rights or wrongs, so I'm joining my first challenge today!

I'm doing the Pals Paper Art Challenge and this week's theme is Halloween!

So here it goes..Inspired by my fave Halloween character, Wicked's witch. Here's the Witch's Shoe.

You can't really tell from the picture, but I used Pumpkin Pie Craft ink to sponge the side of the shoe.
