Shimmer paint on metal

Here is a quick, simple and cool gift to make. I found this metal dish in the clearence section one day and thought it has the unique features to stamp on using the Shimmer Paint. I used a small paint brush to apply a bit of platinum paint on my medallion stamp and stamped on the sides of the dish. To get an unpolished stamped image on to the surface, I found it easier to press the dish onto the stamp.

The good thing about shimmer paint is that it is applicable to most surfaces like fabric, wood, metal and many others. Once it's stamped, it's permanent! Of all multi-purpose ink that I've used, shimmer paint requires less work and it doesn't stain the stamp as much as other inks like Staz-On.  Most importantly, Stampin' Up! will not be retiring the shimmer paint in January.
