There was a reason why I have been MIA from my blog over the past few weeks. Yesterday I celebrated my milestone birthday with a Sherlock Holmes themed Murder Mystery tea party. I spent a month planning the party along with preparing decorations to turn my living room into a 1938 atmosphere.
Be prepared for a lot of photos. Please note that I used some retired Stampin' Up! items in decorating this party.
The murder mystery required me to print the individual characters' scripts, put it into an envelop and seal it immediately. Rather than a boring brown envelop, I stamped it with top secret and labeled it individually with the characters' names. Each of the characters are also given a magnifying glass as a fun prop to take home.
And what fun is it without taping out the shape of a victim. Here's me posing.
And a tea party isn't a tea party without cupcakes! I ordered these customized Sherlock cupcakes through my friend, Cathy Wong of SweeTease Cupcakes. It was everything I wanted and the best way to celebrate a milestone. We'll see what the next decade brings. I'll have to start brainstorming for the next milestone to find a way to top this one.

So cool.
