Scrapbooking with Stampin' Up! is fun!

Here is my final handmade project of the 4 Iron Stampers challenge that I was invited to complete in March. To be honest, this is in fact my first 12"x12" scrapbook page I've ever done! I scrapbook in a very unique or some may say odd way. So all this time I had avoided scrapbooking using Stampin' Up! products. I was quite nervous about the layout of the scrapbook page that I left this project until I had completed the other 3 projects.

As a result, I had to use all the pieces that were unused in the package of Iron Stampers supplies. This included the Maze Game piece and a large Beveled Windowpane.The more I stared at the pieces, the more I realized that this is indeed how I craft my scrapbooks. I'm a pack rat and when I scrapbook, I need to put the pieces of my pack rat habits into the page. This Iron Stampers scrapbook page definitely highlights my habits. I finally learned that scrapbooking with Stampin' Up! products is definitely fun and it doesn't matter what your style is.

And here is my display of the scrapbook page at the bi-monthly Stampin' Up! demonstrator meeting. The results of the challenge (4 projects)? I WON! I won by just one vote! I didn't think my scrapbook page would pull thru, but I received a lot of great feedback on it. From this project, I promised myself to start scrapbooking with Stampin' Up! products more often.

Iron Stampers WOW card

The third project from the Iron Stampers Project I'm posting today is the WOW card. There's not much of a WOW factor in this card, I think. Only fun technique I used is the faux suede flower. I just wanted to use the Notably Ornate stampset since I haven't used it in a long while and I wanted to keep my projects within the vintage theme that I'm trying to set. I'll post the last Iron Stampers Project soon once I'm done planning my classes for April this week. Can't wait to show you what classes I'm offering for April! Iron Stampers Altered Item Project

The next Iron Stampers project is the one I’m most excited about! It’s a paper dress-form banner. When I first received my Stampin’ Up! Labels Collection Framelits, I had to think of what else I can craft besides fancy labels and frames. FRAMES! That’s what it was!

I thought if everyone is taking the cut out inside of the labels, I’m going to take the outsides! Piecing things together I discovered that I can craft out miniature paper dress-forms! The base of the dress-forms is also the leftovers of what was cut out making the dress-forms from the Big Shot Framelits.

Once I got the cut outs of the dress-forms, it was time for dressing up the forms! For a moment I felt like I was a fashion designer. There wasn’t much stamping involved in this project. The key was using embellishments! Lots and lots of them!

Iron Stampers 5 minute card

As promised, here is one of the 4 reveals of the Iron Stampers project. Today I'll show you the quick and simple 5 minute handmade card. This card was made with the Elements of Style stampset. I decided to post this card first because it's the first day of spring today! Happy Spring!

How Iron Stampers works is that my upline gives 3 people a pack of pre-selected Stampin' Up! paper along with a pack of various embellishments. Our task is to try to use all the supplies given on every one of the 4 Iron Stampers project. This includes a 5 minute quick and simple card, a WOW card, a scrapbook page, and a 3D or altered item. Each player is given 2 months to complete these projects and we display them at our bi-monthly Stampin' Up! demonstrator exclusive meeting in Vancouver.
At the end of the meeting, a winner amongst the three players is announced based on votes.

Iron Stampers Project

I mentioned in my yesterday post about Iron Stampers Project. I'm so excited about it that I have to give you a little teaser of what I crafted.

This is one of the 4 projects that I had to handmake. The other projects are one scrapbook page, one quick and simple card, and one WOW card. The Iron Stampers is a bi-monthly challenge that 3 Vancouver demonstrators are randomly invited to participate.

I will reveal the rest of this project after next Monday evening.

These are just a few of the fun activities on top of amazing meetings that are exclusive to demonstrators.
