Shop Around Faux Tiling

Posting here today is the second card made in the stamp technique club class.

On the Very Vanilla cardstock, I used the Shop Around wheel to faintly stamp a background using Crumb Cake Classic ink. I then gave the card a vintage and worn look with a crumpled piece of crumb cake cardstock on the back. Adding more depth, I embossed the card base using the Stripes Textured Impression Embossing Folder. A quick and simple card.

Open Sea Stamp Club card

My most anticipated class each month is always the stamp technique club. Tomorrow night is our class and one of the cards we will be making is with the Open Sea stamp set.

At this stamp club class, we will be learning the faux tiling technique. I love integrating faux tiling and vintage stamping to create a worn out vintage image. With the Open Sea stamp set, the end creation comes out to a masculine card that is fit for any man.

Scruffy Core'dinations texture

Happy Wednesday! I'm struggling a bit to keep up with all the Wednesday updates. I'm sure it is busy to many of you during this crazy holiday season.  With all the holiday festivities around us, this week I'm featuring a birthday card.

This card was actually a stamp club project we made in November. It was made using the Stampin' Up! Core'dinations cardstock. This is the only cardstock that Stampin' Up! carries that allows you add fun texture by sanding, ripping or creasing the stock. With this card, we sanded the embossed cardstock to reveal a lighter tint of the cardstock. A very simple technique that adds extra depth to the card.

Alphabet Press Stamp Club

I missed out on posting last week's Creative Wednesday. I wanted to catch up on the missed post on the weekend but I got hit by another migraine. I'm finally well enough to get out of bed today just in-time for this week's Creative Wednesday post.

We used a fun embossing folder stamping technique last week to make this card. Sometimes you never know what else you can do with your embossing folder other than putting it through the Big Shot machine.

In this card, we used the Six-Sided Sampler bundle that comes with a coordinating punch. I also used a small sliver of washi tape in the background to add a bit of texture and subtle yellow color. Another quick and fun card!

Painter's Tape with Beautifully Baroque

Happy Hump Day! That means it's Creative Wednesday posting!

This week I'm showcasing one of the cards we made last week at our monthly Stamp Club meeting.

As usual, we learn a new stamping technique in our monthly Stamp Club. This month we learned the Painter's Tape technique to create the subtle background of this card. We then stamped the Beautifully Baroque stamp 3 times in different colors, cut out smaller pieces of the stamped image and layer on top of each other to give the Beautifully Baroque image a bit of dimension.

Colors used on this card are: Daffodil Delight, Midnight Muse, and the new incolor Pistachio Pudding.

Come to Bethlehem with Bouncing Brayer

Tonight, I had a wonderful stamp club class with a group of wonderful women. Tonight's class was the last class I'll teach for 2012. So to end the year with a bang, we're going to do a little bouncing. For this month's stamp club technique we crafted this card using the bouncing brayer.

The northern star was first embossed and then had the background inked using the bouncing brayer technique.

This card was actually a case from Paula Dobson. Thanks for the inspiration Paula!

Forever Young Water-colour Wash

Happy Halloween! A rainy Halloween in Vancouver. Using water as our theme in our Creative Wednesday project I feature the water-colour wash technique. 

 With this project, I tried a colour combo that I have never used before. The Summer Starfruit ribbon shines vibrantly with the Midnight Muse colour. The colours for the water-colour wash are Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze and Marina Mist.

Creative Styling Wednesday

Keeping the project within this month's stamp club technique, I used the Triple Stamping Technique to craft this project. I kept the colors simple and clean for this project.

Triple Stamping Technique - Ornament Keepsakes

For the month of September, my regular stamping technique club meeting has moved up to tonight due to one of the member leaving for a quick vacation. 

This month I am featuring the triple stamping technique that has recently been made popular by Dawn Olchefske. So I'm just hopping on the bandwagon and re-creating her technique using the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set. 

My regular stamp club is on the very last Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm.

If you are interested in completing this month's stamp club projects (2 featured projects) at a drop-in rate of $12, I can run this class again upon request.

Fox and Friends Waterfall

This month's 3D technique club features a fun fold. This technique was requested by one of our members a few months ago. I will be featuring the fun waterfall fold.

As part of my retiring stamp set list countdown, I'm trying to use as many retiring stamps as possible. This project we will be using the Fox and Friends set as well as Under the Stars set.

After watching a disappointing Game 2 Canucks playoff, I had to cheer myself up with some cardmaking. Something quick and simple to fix the disappointment.

March 3D Technique Club

A very delightful spring project for the 3D Technique club that is happening tomorrow night! We'll be making a cute gift bag using the free Sale-a-bration paper.

I really LOVE this year's Sale-a-bration items! My favourite free product this year is the free Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (#126154)! I'm rarely a fan of florish paper but this set has a great balance of vintage and fresh florish combined!

At our monthly 3D Technique club , we craft nothing but 3D items! This can range from 3D cards to 3D bags and boxes. Interested in becoming part of the 3D technique club? I'm always accepting new members! There are 2 ways to join this club:

1. Joining a 8 month club where each member is committed to purchasing a minimum of $25 for each month. AND by joining, each member is entitled to one hostess benefit on a month of their choice. This means they will receive $35 to spend on anything in the catalog that month!
2. Paying a $12 drop-in fee at each club class.

Rue Des Fleurs for you too

I've been so busy this last week making a client's wedding invitation that I didn't get a chance to update my blog. This is a card I handmade last week using the elegant Rue Des Fleurs Stampset and the Labels Collection Big Shot Edgelits from the Occasions Mini catalogue. We will be making this card along with another at this month's stamp technique club!

Besides completing wedding invitations all week. I've also been busy making the "Ironstampers" projects that I was invited to participate in. These are projects to be revealed at my upline's next fun bi-monthly demonstrator meeting in Vancouver. I'm required to make one simple card, one WOW card, one scrapbook page and one altered item. I can't reveal these projects until after Monday, March 19. Can't wait to show you what I've crafted!

Gnome sweet Gnome

At my 3D stamp club last month, we handmade a popup card featuring the Stampin' Up! Gnome Sweet Gnome stampset.

This is such a cute stampset that is perfect for any fun and punny occasions. I can see myself using this stampset for scrapbooking my travels.

Fruitful crafting

After realizing how lazy I've been and became a best friend to procrastination, I decided to pull a weekend of pure crafting. My long refreshing trip last month has put me in the mood of restarting a new year by inspiring others and igniting their creativity. So here we go...
